Systems and Digital Engineering Expertise

Kourosh’s journey in systems and digital engineering began at Forward Slope, Inc., where he served as a Jr. Engineer from August 2016 to January 2019. Here, he was responsible for designing, developing, installing, and verifying maritime surveillance systems. His work included handling Foreign Military Sales and conducting system sales in austere environments like Somalia and Azerbaijan for the US Navy. His responsibilities involved integrating power, systems, and communications for the sold systems, ensuring seamless operation and successful integration.

At Sentek Consulting, Kourosh served as an Integration Engineer from February 2019 to May 2021. In this role, he played a pivotal part in modernizing PEO-C4I systems for the Large Deck Cyber System of Systems (SoS). His work focused on digital engineering and system integration, managing system-level changes and standardizing data for system installers. He modeled and analyzed SoS network suites for naval aircraft carriers, ensuring architectural consistency and long-term sustainability. His hands-on approach included conducting onboard verifications and engaging with sailors to gather maintenance input.

Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Kourosh’s tenure at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) from August 2021 to October 2023 as a Model-Based Systems Engineer highlighted his expertise in MBSE. He utilized CAMEO Enterprise Architecture to model and analyze complex system architectures, including those in the cyber and nuclear domains. This tool enabled comprehensive visualization and management of system requirements, architecture, and behavior, providing a holistic view of the entire system.

His work at GDIT also involved leveraging TeamWork Cloud to facilitate collaborative modeling and version control of system models, enhancing communication and reducing errors. He implemented and maintained digital engineering environments that supported MBSE and enabled seamless integration across various engineering disciplines. His efforts in modeling the cyber and nuclear domains of a large-scale system ensured that the architectural design met all digital environment requirements.

Leadership at Zayuk and Quenity

As the founder of Zayuk, Kourosh demonstrated his leadership and innovation by managing customer relations, marketing, data management, and vendor communication. He defined and managed the customer base, streamlined operations, and oversaw the software infrastructure. His strategic vision led to the development and integration of advanced AI solutions, including AI libraries, AI RAG, chatbots, and agents, enhancing efficiency and decision-making processes.

Kourosh also showcased his technical prowess by developing full-stack web applications using AWS Serverless for the backend and React for the frontend. His ability to design micro-service architectures and launch applications within tight timelines underscored his capability to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
